New Orleans, LA
Mieko and I happened to blow into town in time for Southern Decadence,
the gay Madri Gras. Here's our report-
Bourbon Street near St. Ann street during day and night. About 75,000 people
took place in the Decadence festivities.
This is actually a hotel that faces onto Bourbon. Do yourself a favor -
click on the thumb nails to read
the cards in the window.
I think everyone enjoyed the party atmosphere. On the left a girl (real
one) flashes for beads, on the right Mieko
and I pose with an inflatable toy brought to dinner by table of nice professional
women.
One of many party goers trying to come out of his shell
The token Christian right made an appearance, exactly 4 people. I don't
think the crowd was even interested
enough to be annoyed by them.
